Nitrogen Stripper
The nitrogen stripper applies a subsequent step to the digestate, utilizing the heat that comes from the biogas installation. This specific process removes ammonia from the digestate by using sulfuric acid, resulting in the production of ammonium sulfate. This generated ammonium sulfate serves excellently as an alternative to synthetic fertilizer. Furthermore, an effluent remains with a reduced nitrogen content, which still contains a small amount of organic nitrogen.
We collaborate with various reputable suppliers of nitrogen strippers. We have suppliers for this both in the Netherlands and in Flanders, and we leave the choice to the farmer.
