Sustainability is very important to us.
Not only do we work towards sustainability with our end product, but it is an integral part of all our business processes; it is woven into our DNA.
Fresh slurry is central to our process.
We therefore help farmers ferment manure on the farm so that we can ferment the manure hourly and thereby have maximum positive impact on greenhouse gas emissions. This eliminates the need for manure transport and co-products. Maize and other fodder is best passed through the cow’s stomach first.
Our solutions require no transport movements. Everything can be automated like this, you don’t have to set up time-consuming administration for it and you get a fertiliser you know like no other. The manure of your own animals. Only your own animals.
The energy the plant uses for e.g. pumps and mixers is generated green.

We are not just looking at making the best use of a waste stream. We are also critical of ourselves, the materials we purchase and our internal processes.
For instance, we use the energy from our test post to power the desks.

We optimise our product for sustainability in all its facets.
We deliberately choose sustainable materials, such as 10cm thick insulation in our silos for maximum heat recovery.
A catalytic converter on the engine and a flare for excess gases to even reusing 20-foot shipping containers.
And again with a technical guarantee. Because it has to work. Otherwise, it is not sustainable.
We optimised our production so that transport fits on just one truck, minimising our carbon footprint.
As a company, Biolectric has been fully carbon neutral since 2020, offsetting our emissions with 20 of our own plants.
