Energy from manure

Win-win for farmer and climate

Our smart farm solution starts with hourly fresh manure, which we pump to a large tank. There we heat and mix it to create ideal conditions for bacteria to produce biogas. This biogas is then purified and converted into energy. In this way, the farm can become more sustainable, but also generate an additional revenue model. An automated process, allowing farmers to stay focused on animals and fields.

Solution

Electricity & heat

A CHP (combined heat and power) converts biogas into electricity and heat.

You can use that electricity yourself on the farm. If you have surplus, you can sell your green power on the grid. You can use the heat, for example, to heat your home and barn, make fertiliser from digestate or dry grass.

Can be implemented on farms with at least 50 cows.

Thanks to a high degree of automation and the Biolectric maintenance subscription with technical guarantee, daily follow-up is limited to a maximum of 15 minutes.

This allows you to stay focused on caring for animals and crops.

And that requires neither manure transport nor maize or other co-products.
